Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR)

Anonymous Call Rejection allows you to reject calls from callers who have blocked the display of their telephone numbers. Anonymous Call Rejection discourages anonymous calls, since callers must allow their numbers to be displayed in order to reach you.

How does it work?
When Anonymous Call Rejection is on, callers who have blocked the display of their numbers will hear an announcement telling them that you are not accepting blocked calls. They will be instructed to hang up and dial again, without blocking their numbers, if they wish to reach you.

To start Anonymous Call Rejection:
Press *77
ACR will remain on until you turn it off

To turn off Anonymous Call Rejection:
Press *87
When Anonymous Call Rejection is off, all calls will reach you

Any other important points?
Anonymous Call Rejection is turned off when it is initially put on your line. Be sure to follow the instructions listed above when you wish to turn on the service. We also suggest that you periodically verify that it is on by following these same steps.
Anonymous Call Rejection works even if you do not have a Caller ID display unit on your line.
Anonymous Call Rejection will only block calls marked "Private." ACR will still allow calls marked "Out of Area" or "Unavailable" to ring through.
